A STRONG CONCEPT, WINES/SPIRITS TASTED EXCLUSIVELY BY WOMEN
The Feminalise World Wine Competition is a unique concept: All world wines/sakés/spirits are exclusively tasted by professionals or seasoned oenophile women.
With a 30-year experience organizing wine tasting competitions, Didier Martin, the Founder, made a simple observation: the economical impact of women in the wine industry. This inspired him the novel idea of the Feminalise Competition in 2007 which goes global in 2015.
Each year in Paris, in the heart of the French capital, more than 600 tasters from all over the world attend the extraordinary Féminalise Wine Tasting Competition, widely covered by the media.
OPTIMAL TASTING CONDITIONS
No commentary or influence is possible between the tasters as each person tastes a different wine/spirit than her neighbour.
- Tasters are selected from the wine industry on the basis of their abilities to taste and evaluate wines/spirits.
- All wines/spirits are blind-tasted, served by the glass, at the right temperature by qualified servers.
- Each wine/spirit is tasted by three women seated at tables placed far apart from each other. No commentary or influence is possible between the tasters.
- Each wine/spirit is evaluated following a tasting sheet with 39 control points.
- In case of flawed wine/spirit, a spare bottle will be served at right temperature to the tasters.
- We are extremely careful about the tasting order of entries so as to ensure the best results.
A GROWING SUCCESS
Ever since its creation, the Féminalise World Wine Competition is growing rapidly with an average of 4000 wines tasted during last competitions. In 2015, the Competition is growing by going global. For its 2018 edition, the competition confirms its international dimension by moving to Paris.

THE OFFICIAL RULES
The Féminalise World Wine Competition is open to all producers, cooperative wineries, merchants, importers of wines/spirits from all over the world.
Vintages accepted into the Competition are from 2021 and earlier, originating from all vineyards in the world. Each wine/spirit must conform to the Community regulations in European Union and the regulations in force in the country of origin.
As a result of the New French Wine Competition Regulations, the Féminalise World Wine Competition has been officially registered on the list of Official Competitions for which the medals are allowed to be affixed on the labeling of wines (BOCCRF of September 13th, 2013).
